Paramount Skydance Will Remove Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – News

Paramount Skydance plans to begin significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 US jobs as part of a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August valued at $8.4bn.

Additional overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance aiming to reveal full details during its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.

Previous updates had indicated the firm aimed to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.

Until December 2024, the organization had almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 contract workers.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented on the matter.
