Chopper Twirls Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular California Beach

A chopper flying near a popular southern California coastline abruptly began spiraling out of control, finally losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as spectators looked on.

Videos shared on social media show the chopper commencing to spiral over the shoreline then falling in the direction of the border of the shore, where it gets stuck between palms and a set of stairs close to the shoreline route.

Rescue Operation Update

Local firefighters said five persons were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on that day.

Three individuals on the street were hurt. Details on their wounds were still under review.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
